Halia® Warming Technology Debuts in Hungary at Bútor Lampa Dekor 2026

Quatro warming tables will be shown publicly in Hungary for the first time at BOK Csarnok, demonstrating low-power radiant comfort designed to reduce heating energy use in hospitality and living spaces.

Oulu, Finland

The Warming Surfaces Company Ltd., a Finnish pioneer in digital warming surfaces technology, announces its entry into the Hungarian market with Quatro warming tables designed to reduce energy consumption from heating in dining, working, and living spaces.

The company's warming tables and Halia warming surface technology are on display to the public for the first time in Hungary this week at the Bútor Lampa Dekor exhibition in BOK Csarnok, Budapest.

The launch marks the first step in the company's broader plan to turn interior surfaces into comfortable radiant surfaces that help reduce heating-related energy use and emissions.

Energy-Efficient Warming for Outdoor Hospitality

Halia warming technology integrated into table structures was developed in response to rising efficiency and sustainability requirements across homes, workplaces, and hospitality spaces. One prominent use case is outdoor dining, where several cities and countries have started restricting gas-based terrace heating.

In terrace use, warming tables can save over 90% in energy costs compared with conventional propane and electric terrace heaters, while offering real-time thermal comfort for guests.

According to simulations carried out by Semcon AB, tables using Halia technology were nearly two times more comfortable for users than traditional outdoor heating solutions.

Measured Performance

  • Up to 75% less energy use than propane-based terrace heaters at full operating capacity
  • Heating surface activates only when table occupancy is detected
  • Safe low-voltage DC operation for controlled localized radiant warmth
  • Over 95% emissions reduction in Finnish pilot measurements (four Halia-equipped tables versus one propane terrace heater), according to Sitowise Oyj

The company is also incorporating Halia warming into additional interior surface materials, including wall and flooring solutions.
